FIP-S2@NOVIA - Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Smart Shipping

The Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Smart Shipping at Novia University of Applied Sciences, or FIP-S2@Novia, is located in Turku, Finland, at Aboa Mare, the university's maritime campus. The content focus is research and product development for the Finnish maritime industry in the field of innovative training concepts, simulation and automation.

Fraunhofer Innovation Platforms are science fields established together with local partners abroad, and based on the Fraunhofer model. They are established with university partners and promote the exchange of know-how and technology transfer from science to practice. To this end, they work closely with the local industry, thus enabling the promotion of applied and demand-oriented research and development.
